hello! i’m erin
Wife, mother, & Points Travel Fan
In an attempt to get our family of 5 to San Diego for a Legoland trip, I realized I needed to find a way to save money on family trips because Groupon wasn’t cutting it. I dove headfirst into the world of credit card points and miles.
While my husband, a self-proclaimed tight-wad, was very skeptical of using credit card points and miles, we made a deal. As long as all the cards were paid, and our credit scores didn’t take big dips, he was in.
And within a short amount of time, the consistent savings on trips we saw, sold us both. We are officially full-fledged points and miles travelers.

These are a few of my favorite things…
- I love my family. I was a teacher, and ended up homeschooling during COVID lockdowns and we were hooked. We love homeschooling, and most of the time we love being together.
- It’s a strange day when I don’t have a Dr. Pepper in my hands. It’s my favorite, much to my dentist’s chagrin.
- I love to sew. My Grandma taught my mom, who taught me, and it brings me great joy to sew for others.
- I hate flying. Kinda weird for a travel blogger right? My anxiety has a hard time up in the air, but I love traveling to new destinations with my family so I have learned how to cope with it, and enjoy the trip as a whole. My husband on the other hand, loves the turbulence.
