You can often get a much better value by just popping those points over to a hotel program like Hyatt or an Airline to book your flight directly.

🏨 When you shift those points over, it's a breeze, and guess what? You'll probably save a ton! Think of it as a discount for your next adventure. Obviously, we always recommend double checking your options before your transfer.

💳 When we first started pursuing points and miles I would look at a card and think "I won't use any of those airlines" and write it off. But now that I've learned about alliances, I'm not so quick to write them off.

❤️ While Southwest is an easy airline to use for domestic travel, when traveling further, or from an airport that doesn't fly Southwest, these alliances will be the secret sauce to your points and miles journey.

🤔 What's the catch? Often when using alliances to book flights you will need to book farther in advance and spend a little bit of time searching. You want to be sure of the award you are trying to get as well, because once you transfer you most likely cannot transfer back to the bank.
