Who is Blue Bank?
If you have been around the Instagram Travel Hacking or Points and Miles space for very long you have seen constant mentions of Blue Bank or Paw Patrol Bank or 💎bank. All of these refer to Chase Bank.
Why the Code Names?
Unfortunately, Chase has rules that prohibit their affiliates from using their names on Instagram and Facebook, which is why you see a lot of points and miles influencers referring to them with code words. The code names allow people to still openly discuss them without breaking the rules of their affiliate agreements.
But you’re not an affiliate….
You’re right, I don’t have affiliate status with any Credit Card companies at this time, but I would like to eventually gain that status. And once that status comes, I am uninterested in erasing half my content because I was not cautious with this up front.
Update 4/24: Chase Bank has really expanded their affiliate rules and you will now not even see many referring to Chase, it will simply say “My favorite bank” or “My Favorite Card.” I am currently dedicated to providing you honest and easy to use content, and will refer to Chase Bank by name on my page for the foreseeable future.
Conclusion
We aren’t trying to confuse you, just trying to stay within the rules of agreements present and future. Now with this knowledge in your cap, off into the travel hacking world you go! We highly recommend you start with Chase’s Sapphire Card.
